This policy describes how MB HEXLaw (HEXLaw) uses cookies and similar technologies on hexlaw.ai. It supplements our Privacy notice. It is issued under Lithuanian Law on Electronic Communications Article 73 (transposing ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC) and GDPR.
1. What is a cookie
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device. Cookies allow the site to recognise your device on subsequent visits, remember preferences, secure your session and measure performance. We also use similar technologies (local storage, session storage, pixels) - the rules below apply to all of them.
2. Categories we use
Strictly necessary
These are required for the site to function (e.g. authentication, session security, CSRF protection, load balancing). They are set on every visit and cannot be switched off. No prior consent is required under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive.
Analytics and marketing
We do not use analytics, marketing or advertising cookies on this site, and no analytics or tracking script runs on it. Because everything we set is strictly necessary, we do not need your consent and there is no cookie banner.
3. The cookies we set
| Name | Purpose | Category | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
__session | Clerk authentication session | Strictly necessary | Session |
__clerk_db_jwt | Authentication state | Strictly necessary | 1 hour |
4. Third-party content
Our About page includes a video from LNK (lnk.lt) and a podcast episode from Spotify. Neither is loaded when you open the page: each shows a button, and nothing is requested from LNK or Spotify until you press it. Once you do, that provider may set its own cookies under its own policy.
The About page also shows two YouTube videos through YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). These load when the page opens. YouTube may set its own cookies or similar technologies under Google's privacy policy.
5. How to manage cookies
Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies in their settings (look for "Privacy" or "Site data"). Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break log-in and may prevent the site from working correctly.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when we add or remove tools that set cookies. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. For questions please contact privacy@hexlaw.ai.
